How do I know it is safe to travel to a specific region?
Most of the regions our preferred vendor’s travel to are safe, however travel warnings can change at anytime. We recommend you contact your country’s department of Foreign Affairs to obtain up-to-date travel warnings to specific regions.
What happens if I need to cancel my trip?
How long should I travel abroad for?
This is completely up to your time limits and your budget. We recommend if you are traveling abroad, you dedicate at least 7 days or more for your trip. The more time you have, the more you will see.
How many other people will be on my trip?
Each specific trip will have a different number of seats available. Please see our Company Profiles to find out how many travelers will be on any given trip with the Company of your choice.
What sort of people will be on my trip?
The average age on any given trip for our preferred Tour Companies is 18-40. Some tours have age restrictions, and some are open age, which means you could be traveling with some older travellers. Please see our Company Profiles to find out if the Company of your choice offers open age or restricted age trips. All of our preferred vendors sell their trips worldwide, so you are likely to be traveling with people from all over the world.
What visa’s do I need?

Do I need Travel Insurance?
TravAddict recommends you obtain Travel Insurance prior to leaving your home country. Some Tour Companies require you to purchase Travel Insurance in order to travel with them. Please see our Company Profiles and read the Terms and Conditions of the Tour Company of your choice to find out if they require you to have travel insurance. Please be aware that your home countries Medical Insurance is not the same as Travel Insurance. Travel Insurance will also cover you for unforseen Travel Expenses, Lost Luggage, and more. What will I need to bring with me?
After you have paid for your trip and it has been confirmed, you will receive information on recommended things to bring based on where you are traveling, and the time of year you will be traveling.
How much luggage am I allowed to bring?
Each Tour Company has different regulations when it comes to luggage. The Tour Company of your choice can provide luggage allowances for your specific trip of choice.
Should I exchange my money before I leave home?
We recommend you exchange enough money to get you through the first three days abroad before you leave. We also recommend you check your pre-departure information with the Tour Company you have booked with for specific recommendations about currency exchange and its convenience on the route you will be taking.
I am a single traveler. Will I get my own room?
This depends on the tour company you are traveling with. Most prices are quoted for shared accommodation. If you are a single traveler, you may be matched up to share a room with other single traveler/travellers of the same sex. If a single supplement is available, it will show as an option at the time of booking. Only a few of our preferred vendors offer the option to upgrade to a single room.
What type of clothes should I pack?
This depends on the destination you are traveling to, and the style of trip you will be taking. Please refer to the trip information you will receive after booking to see details on what to pack for a specific trip.
Can I start a trip late or leave early?
This is likely to be an option for a lot of Tour Company trip departures. However, this is a trip specific question so please contact the vendor you have chosen to travel with, and they can help to answer this for you.
